Why did we choose to go through the Transitions Lifestyle Program? My husband had high triglycerides five years ago and since that time we have been eating foods in a restricted dietary plan. Quite frankly, it was boring. We had always been pretty health conscious, but the foods we were eating in order to restrict carbohydrates left us missing some of the best in nutrients, proteins, and the right carbohydrates. My husband was putting on weight and getting frustrated with eating as a whole. Who wants to live that way! We sought a better way … and found it through Transitions Lifestyle Program.
By following low glycemic eating guidelines, my husband was able to lose 15 pounds in 12 weeks. The weight loss, as well as losing inches around his waist and hips, has made him feel good about himself. His clothes fit nicer, he feels good, and people comment how good he looks. By understanding the proper balance of foods, and what types of foods to eat, we know the triglyceride issue is a thing of the past.
I joined the classes to support my husband. I gained more than I ever expected! I am a thin person, so weight loss was not a focus for me. Improved body fat percentage, lost inches in waist and hips, and improved digestion were my rewards. We love the food we now can eat and enjoy!
